Hello, I am Chris Lentz a 25 year old technology blogger from Atlanta, Georgia. My true passion's in life are technology, gadgets, web development, and movies. I started blogging back in September of 2007 for various technology news blogs.

After writing for various sites, I decided to launch ATLChris.com which is a technology and internet blog with a little bit of personal stuff tossed in! I will be blogging about technology news, hardware and software reviews, random movie reviews, as well as personal rants and editorials! I fell in love with technology at a very young age when my dad first bought a Windows 3.1 machine. My first website I ever created was back in May of 2004. I created the site using Microsoft Frontpage and the free hosting service Tripod. Since then I have learned to script HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.

My Gear

My main computer is a 15.4" Macbook Pro (Fall 2008) 2.4GHz/4GB/250GB, I purchased this laptop in October of 2008. Along with this laptop I use a Logitech MX Revolution Mouse, Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard, 2.1 Logitech Sound System, a 750GB External Hard Drive, and a 300GB External Hard Drive.

In May 2008 I purchased a Nikon D40 Digital SLR Camera. You can check out my photo collection, which consist of product images, general photography, and some personal/family photos, on Flickr. I still consider myself an ameture photographer, but I am slowly learning.

On top of being a huge techie, I also have a true passion for Movies. In light of that, I would like to introduce you to my Home Theater System:

• Sony PlayStation 3 w/ IR Receiver (Doubles as a Blu-Ray Player)
• Onkyo 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Surround Sound System

Yes, the TV is only a 32", but this setup is in my room, and anything bigger than that would be to much for the space I have it in. I also have a wide range of iPod's. I received a free 8GB iPod Touch with the purchase of my Macbook Pro. I also own a 80GB 5G iPod Video, and finally I have a 2 GB 2G iPod Shuffle (Green) which I use at the gym.

I am proud to announce that we are being hosted at Media Temple which is one of the best host out there. Media Temple host is know as a reliable host who has provided hosting services to some of major companies. With Media Temple, I will never have to worry about my site going down during high traffic times!

I am also going to be using a new web statistics program, called mint. This web application was created by Shaun Inman. You can learn more about it at HaveaMint.com. It provided more then enough information to help me understand what my readers are interested in.

ATLChris.com is also using a new state of the art discussion system called Disqus. This new commenting/discussion web app. I am hoping this will help to develop more of a community feel to my site. I want my readers to voice their oppinion about my articles. You all are as much a part of this site as I am!

As of October, 2008 ATLChris.com has started using a new advertising managment company. With traffic growing at an alarming rate, I need to explore different methods to try and get this site to atleast pay for itself. I try to be discrete with the banner ads, I don't want them to be in the way, because the site and its content is priority #1.
