Things, My New Favorite Mac OS X App!
Hey all, sorry for the delay in my postings lately, I have been super busy. I wanted to post about my new favorite app that is helping me to organize my life, my work, and my refrigerator. haha yes that is correct, this app kicks butt!

Let me introduce you to a little Mac/iPhone app known as Things. Things is a super simple yet advanced to-do style list manager. Now, I am a very technologically advanced individual, but one thing I have never used technology for, is my to-do list. For the past probably 3 years, I have carried around a small journal type book that I use for everything from website to-dos, to my shopping list.

Well, thanks to Things, I am changing my set ways and switching to a digital to-do application. In a nutshell, Things helps to organize different types of to-dos into a easily accessible format. You can set due dates, tags, and notes for list items, but where Things really shines is its organization abilities. Things allows me to create projects, and organize different list items into there different projects. Projects help me to take my 5 different web development projects I have going right now and and easily create list items under each projects.
Aside from projects, Things boost a wide range of ways to organize your to-dos, some great keyboard shortcut, and a beautiful design. If you have not seen this app in action, check out the video below.
Combine it with the iPhone version that syncs with the Mac version, and you will see how amazing this app is. Both versions are available separately, and can be used alone, but you wont get the true experience until you combine the two applications

It is a bit on the expensive side, but try it out for 15 days for FREE, and I am sure you will want to purchase it.

I've been thinking about starting to use Things as I too am a web developer. Any chance you could post some screenshots or discuss how you use it in the web development processes…..
Matt, I can't post screenshots, because some of the information in my things app is privledged information only for my clients. I will let you know, that I am working on a major post about my overall web development process and the tools I use, and Things is a whole paragraph it that post.
Subscribe to my feed so you don't ,miss out on that one.
Great. I completely understand. I currently use iCal and don't really like it. I downloaded the Free Trial of Things, and will see how it goes.
I've been a follower for a little while and really enjoy your posts. I look forward to the development process entry as I actually just wrote one last week for my company blog.
